Privacy
We collect as little as we can get away with. You do not need an account to use this site, and we do not track you around the internet. This page says exactly what happens to the things people do give us.
If you only browse
Nothing is collected. There are no accounts, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no cookies used to identify you. Pages are plain files.
If you tap "use my location", your position is read by your browser and used on your own device to sort the list by distance. It is never sent to us and never leaves your phone. Your browser will ask permission first, and declining leaves the whole site usable.
If you submit a masjid, timings, or a report
Then we collect what you type, which may include:
- Your name and phone number
- Your connection to the masjid, and how you know what you are telling us
- The masjid's location, name and any photographs you upload
- A one-way hash of your IP address, to limit abuse of the forms
Why we need a phone number
Because we ring people. A submission is checked by a person before anything is published, and that usually means a phone call. It is the single most useful thing you can give us, and it is the reason we do not need to send you a verification code or make you create an account.
What we do with it
We use it to check that one submission, and nothing else. Specifically, we do not publish your name or number, add you to any list, message you about anything else, or pass your details to anyone. Contact details are never included in the published site at all.
How long we keep it
- Submissions we reject
- Your contact details are deleted within 12 months of the decision.
- Reports
- Contact details are deleted within 12 months of the report being closed.
- Submissions we accept
- We keep a record that a check was made and when, because we may have to answer for a listing later. Contact details are kept only while the listing is current.
- "Tell me when my city opens"
- Deleted 90 days after that city opens, or after 24 months if it has not. Every message we send includes a way to opt out.
- Abuse-limiting IP hashes
- Deleted within 24 hours, and salted so they cannot be reversed.
Deletion runs on a schedule, so please read these as "within about a day of" rather than to the minute.
Photographs
Photographs you upload may be published on the listing. We remove embedded camera data, including GPS coordinates and device identifiers, from every image before it is published, so a photograph never reveals where you were standing.
Please do not photograph people. If a photograph shows someone identifiable, tell us and we will take it down.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. We will not ask you to prove who you are beyond the phone number you gave us.
You do not need an account to do this. Ask us using the contact details below and we will act on it.

Write to privacy@ahmfinder.com. It is a role address rather than a personal one, read by the person who runs this directory, and we aim to reply within a week.
Where the data sits
Submissions are stored with a hosting provider whose servers may be outside India. The DPDP Act permits this, and we are telling you rather than implying otherwise. Published listings contain no personal data.
Age
Please do not submit anything through this site if you are under 18. We have no way of checking, so we ask.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with information already given to us, we will say so here with the date.
